Weißenthurm: DRIA GmbH buys additional residential development sites in Weißenthurm

Following the 2019 acquisition of a vacant supermarket in Weißenthurm, formerly occupied by NORMA, together with a local joint venture partner, DRIA GmbH has acquired additional adjoining properties. With the additional plot sizes secured, DRIA GmbH is able to initiate a larger residential development. Hereby, DRIA GmbH, specialized on stationary retail in general, is relying on the knowledge of their local joint venture partner.

Having acquired more than 5.000 m² of land, a development with 80 residential units and banking branch are targeted now. The development is supported by the positive demographic development of Weißenthurm. The area is located close to the new Norma market and a development site for a new Rewe market. The latter is a joint venture project of DRIA GmbH as well, who are targeting to build a Rewe supermarket in 2022 after having agreed the land purchse in the course of 2019. Together with the residential development, DRIA GmbH is fullfilling the local needs for modern food supply and sustainable living area in Weißenthurm. Demolishment works and start of construction for both developments are planned for 2022.
