Erkelenz: DRIA GmbH acquires medical center and builds sustainable future prospects

At the end of last year, DRIA GmbH acquired a medical center in the center of Erkelenz, with which the company was able to secure a future-proof and versatile property in an attractive location. The property was built on a plot of around 1,436 m² and covers a total area of around 1,562 m². The property includes 2 passenger elevators as well as an inner courtyard with 15 parking spaces and 1 garage, which is more the exception than the rule in inner city locations.

The property has been used in recent decades by the AOK, which will move into a smaller space elsewhere. In addition to the AOK space, the property also houses a dentist and two residential units.

The former AOK space will be divided into two units as part of the redesign. A long-term lease has already been signed for the majority of the space with an ophthalmology service company, which will be able to consolidate the space in Erkelenz and meet the current requirements of future patients. A contract has been concluded with a software company from the process optimization and automation sector for the remaining space. Both spaces will be completely gutted from April and adapted to the requirements of the two tenants with a modern design.

In addition to the aforementioned measures, the two residential rental units will also be modernized prior to re-letting, so that the property will be in a modern condition.
