Ritterhude: Large rush of customers at the opening of the new ALDI building

At the end of February this year, the doors of the old ALDI store in Ritterhude were closed forever. This was followed by the demolition of the building and the new planning and realisation of the new discounter building. And at the end of September, the time had finally come: the new ALDI North building was ceremoniously opened with a large rush of customers.

The completely new and modern interior and exterior design of the market has attracted and enthused numerous visitors and residents of Ritterhude. The same goes for the wide range of products and diverse offers, which are now available in a larger area. The store, which used to have an area of around 1,145 m², was enlarged to approx. 1,429 m² as part of the new construction project, so that more than 1,000 m² are now available as pure sales space.

The conversion was realised according to the discounter’s latest concept. By realising the new building, ALDI has also committed itself to the location for another 15 years, which pleases not least the residents of Ritterhude, who visibly missed their local contact point for their daily shopping during the construction phase. With the reopening of the discounter, ALDI now completes the shopping centre again with the adjacent branches Kik, Hol’ Ab and a lottery shop.

The property is part of the existing portfolio of the Israeli LAHAV Family Office. DRIA GmbH, which is in charge of the asset management of the property, was entrusted with the planning and execution of the expansion measures as well as with the lease negotiations.
