GRR Group acquired a retail center in Gräfenhainichen / Saxony-Anhalt

The GRR Group acquired a retail center with REWE and Aldi as anchor tenants in Gräfenhainichen / Saxony-Anhalt for the GRR German Retail Fund No. 4. The property was transferred with the date of 01.04.2021. The transaction took place as an asset deal. The parties agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction. The GRR Group is already in negotiations for the purchase of further properties for the GRR German Retail Fund No. 4.

The small town Gräfenhainichen is located in the rural district Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt, close to the cities Dessau and Wittenberg, and is known as the gate to the “Dübener Heide”. The retail center is situated in a good traffic location at the outskirts of the city, at the crossing point of the federal road B100, which leads from Halle an der Saale to Wittenberg, and the rural road L136.

In 2020/2021 the sales area got extensively extended. REWE as well as the fashion-discounter Kik moved into a modern new building at the opposite side of the road. This new building is certified in gold by the sustainability standard of the German Organization for sustainable construction (DGNB). The opening was on the 18.11.2020. REWE has a rentable space of app. 2.700 m² and the anchor tenant Aldi, which extended his area in the city, has app. 1.500 m². Further tenants with long-termed lease contracts, beside the fashion-discounter Kik, are a shoe store and a non-food discounter. Also a DHL-package station has been integrated in the new development.

The real estate company DRIA GmbH acted as intermediary for the GRR Group in this transaction.
