Forst (Lausitz): Australians build ALDI discounter

The Australian “Sunshine Family Office”, which owns the property, is planning to build a new ALDI discounter on the free space of the plot of ​​around 24,332 m². Currently there already is an OBI hardware store since 1992. ALDI has already signed a long-term lease and the handover to the tenant is scheduled for 2021. The start of construction is planned for the III. Quarter 2020, accordingly the building permit is expected in the second quarter of 2020 at the latest. The development is being carried out in close coordination with the city of Forst (Lausitz) in order to close a supply gap in the southwestern part of the city. The contract negotiations with ALDI and the planned construction of the property are coordinated by DRIA GmbH as the responsible asset manager.
